About This Special Issue
The concept of spatial aesthetics is an aesthetic theory about space, which emphasizes that the elements, discourse and theories in natural space affect the subject's aesthetic experience. At the same time, the subject perceives the beauty contained in the space through "visual perception", and then generates the perceptual experience of beauty. In one word, it is the aesthetic consciousness formed by the aesthetic subject in the aesthetic space. Starting from the perspective of space aesthetics, focusing on the three basic concepts emphasized by space aesthetics, including space, sensibility and aesthetics. Taking the regional space in kindergarten as the research intermediary, and emphasizing the aesthetic consciousness that teacher should have in the creation of the kindergarten environment, the kindergarten environment is an important place to support for cultivating children’s aesthetic perception, shaping children’s aesthetic ability and improving the perception of the beautiful existence of things. However, in today’s society, many teachers ignore the aesthetic education value of the kindergarten creation for children.
So, in this way, the purpose of this special issue is to suggest researchers to do research from these aspects: What’s the problem in the kindergarten environment creation in your countries? How to solve these problems? What’s the environmental meaning for children in this environment? What are the children’s survival experience, space experience and aesthetic experience in the kindergarten, and how to improve their aesthetic literacy and aesthetic ability in the future?
